As a tennis coach, how well do you manage your players?

The problem here is to never think of your job as just a tennis coach.

Because it can and should be much more than that.

You touch and shape the lives of these players and this job comes with many responsibilities.

Without a doubt.

Tennis coaches must become great leaders !!

“It will also help them reach their full potential as a coach and as a human being.”

You really have to ask yourself this question.

How good am I a leader?

Then start working on these 3 things to get better at DOING or should I say being better.

1) Construction character.

It is a lifelong quest for all of us.

But first we have to start developing it every now and then, and then we have to focus on keeping it forever.

All great coaches have had to develop their character at some point in their careers.

They then learned to teach the character and transfer it to their players.

It is as if the character generates character.

Focus on improving yourself as a person daily and this will help you develop more character as a leader.

2) Strengthen your relationships.

It goes at all levels.

With your players, your colleagues and their parents and your own family.

To become a leader you need to lead by example and that means building good relationships!

Notice how all great leaders have good relationships in their lives?

Go out with your coaching journal for me and assess how strong your relationship is right now.

After you have done that, work on strengthening those who need work and deepening the others.

3) Study great leaders.

Now.

“You have to study other great leaders and coaches and you have to take lots of notes and then you have to stay in tune with their teaching so that they enter your consciousness and become part of your daily life”!

If you really take a step back for a minute and think about it …

It’s about reaching your full potential as a coach, helping and guiding your players, friends and family to do the same in their lives.

Great leadership comes full circle!

Adopting this coaching philosophy can have a very powerful and spiritual effect in your life.

And it all starts with recognizing yourself where you are as a leader today, then committing to these 3 attributes and developing them as fast as you can.
