There is “A major problem in the production AirPods Studio “. This claim by “leaker” Jon Prosser would explain why Apple did not present its very first headphones at the same time as the iPhone 12, on October 13th.
Major hiccup in AirPods Studio production
A few key features have now been cut.
Seems they still need to work some things out before we have final units.
Looking like they won’t be ready to ship until December AT BEST. pic.twitter.com/oRRTXJQVhH

Exit postponed for another five months?
In a series of tweets, the American claims that a few key features have been removed from the device and that there are some things that still need to be sorted out before the final units are delivered. He is betting on marketing no earlier than December, with an announcement the month before. A release in March 2021 cannot be ruled out, however, if these production concerns are not resolved quickly.
Jon Prosser also explains that AirTags are however well and truly ready. Apple should bring them to market quickly, without finally waiting for the AirPods Studio. According to him, it is the availability of iOS 14.3 – which contains the code to make these geolocation beacons work – which determines their release. This iOS update is expected to come next month.
