Amazon announced in September Luna, its cloud gaming service competitor of Stadia and Xbox Game Pass. This service will enter into activity on a limited basis: a small group of American customers will receive an invitation to test it.
With Amazon Luna, customers will be able to play on Fire TV, PC, Mac, and iPhone / iPad through webapps. An Android version is planned later. Users must subscribe to the Luna + Game Channel, which will cost $ 5.99 per month and provide access to 50 games initially. Other games will be added later.
Amazon also plans to offer the Ubisoft Channel, with games from the publisher such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Finally, Amazon will offer a Bluetooth gamepad, called Luna Controller. This controller embeds the Alexa voice assistant and offers reduced latency. It costs $ 49.99, but is not required to use the Luna service.
