Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps Recipe

These lettuce wraps are stuffed with chicken and vegetables. For a refreshing zip, honey and lime juice help to tone down the hot wing sauce. It makes a delicious sweet and sour chicken handheld. Very light and healthy and so good!

For Dressing:

  • 1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 tsp milk
  • 4 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp minced fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

For Lettuce Wraps:

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 8 Boston lettuce leaves
  • 1 cucumber, seeded and chopped
  • 1 celery rib, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup julienned carrots
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt


To Make Dressing:

  • Place blue cheese, mayonnaise, milk, lemon juice, parsley and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl.
  • Mix until well combined.
  • Cover and refrigerate until serving.

To Make Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps:


  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chicken.
  • Cook and stir for 10 minutes or until the chicken are no longer pink.
  • In a small bowl, combine the lime juice, hot sauce and honey.
  • Pour over the chicken.
  • Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low.
  • Simmer for 2 minutes or until heated through.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • Stir in the celery, cucumber, and carrots.
  • Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto each lettuce leaf.
  • Fold sides of lettuce over the filling.
  • Roll up tightly and secure with a toothpick.
  • Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps are ready to serve.

  • To make this healthy, you can use low-fat blue cheese and light mayo.
  • Secure wrap with toothpicks and remove them just before serving.
