FIFA 16 is an upcoming Virtual Reality Football game developed by EA Canada and published by EA Sports. EA Sports has taken revolutionary steps in gameplay and several important gameplay changes have been rolled out, namely shooting, passing, defense and goalkeeper. It got off to a great start and has the potential to be the best football game Electronic Arts Inc. has developed in years. In this article, we’ll take a look at what’s new in the upcoming FIFA 16, especially what has changed compared to FIFA 15.
FIFA will include women’s national teams in the game for the first time in history. Twelve international women’s teams, including Spain, Germany, Sweden, USA, Italy, China, Brazil and England will feature in FIFA 16. For now, it is not. planned to include teams from women’s football clubs around the world. Even so, it’s a good start and I hope we will see some national women’s leagues in the future.
Tackle the improvements
Gone are the days of an attacker leaving your defender lying on the pitch in case their sliding tackle failed to take the ball away. Additionally, it is possible for an attacker to recover from a slipped tackle and regain possession. It doesn’t take long to get up after a tackle.
A major defect of the goalkeeper in FIFA 15 was long distance goals from a low midfield region. For example, a player with great stamina and good shooting accuracy can easily score a goal near a half line. EA fixed this issue this year as new features were added to improve the Guardian’s ability to defend against certain situations.
Fast pass from anywhere
With the fast pass, you can now avoid those interceptions from anywhere on the pitch. By pressing a right pass and bumper button when controlling the player, the player will be able to initiate a quick pass. This will send a quick and direct pass to your mark denying the defense a chance to intercept the ball as they can with normal passes.
No tactile dribbling
This function allows you to move around the ball without touching it. If we look at the likes of Ronaldo and Messi, they maintain control of the ball – while standing or dribbling – without touching it. FIFA 16 attempted to simulate this.
Another major FIFA improvement is shooting. It wasn’t an area with a lot of errors and bugs, but EA decided to make some improvements to the way players shoot the ball. They added new animations to make the shot feel fresh in the game. For example, a player can place the ball towards the net rather than pulling the ball towards the net. For platforms like PS4 and Xbox One, the controller vibrates a bit when you score, giving you more satisfaction in scoring a goal.
