Legendary journalist Bob Woodward is spreading the scoops with his latest book on Donald Trump. The president told him, among other things, that the Russians had been able to smuggle sophisticated malware into the voter registration system of at least two counties in Florida: St. Lucia and Washington. Precisely at the time of the 2016 presidential elections.
It was the NSA and the CIA that detected them in the VR Systems software databases. The Russians could have erased voters. But the malware apparently would not have been activated and the outcome of the polls would not have been affected.
Russian interference in Florida was already known. Former District Attorney Robert Mueller revealed last year it involved two counties in Florida, but he vowed to the FBI not to release their names. System security has since been enhanced.
