If we are talking about playing football, I think most of us want to be a striker or a striker, it’s because we think the striker is the best position in the game and the others just to support the striker. . And we also think the striker is a hero for the team because he scores scores and ultimately wins the game. Sometimes ordinary people say that they win only because of the front players or the forwards. But in fact their assumption is wrong, because the main thing that is important in football is teamwork. Each player in the game must be disciplined and do their duty according to their position. Without it, the game will be bad and the team will not win the game.

In the game of football, we basically know 4 player positions; Goalkeeper (GK), defender (DF), midfielder (MF) and striker or striker (FW). In each position, they have their main function in a game. So what are the real characteristics of each of them? Alright, let’s check it out.

The first position is a goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is a post whose main task is to protect the goal post against attack by the opponent. This position is actually placed behind the position of others. So he stands right under the goal post and blocks the ball that comes to the goal. The characteristic of this position is that the goalkeeper is allowed to touch the ball with his hand.

The second position is a Defender or we usually call it Back. The main task of someone in this position is to protect their area from attacks from the opponent. The back position is in front of the goalkeeper. Usually in a match the defender is split in half; Central rear (CB) and lateral rear (SB). The center-back is a player who stands in the middle of the defensive zone and in front of the goalkeeper. This type of position holds the greatest responsibility as a team after the goalkeeper. Then the Side Back is a player who plays on the side of the defensive zone. Sometimes this type of stance is useful for attacking.

The next position is Midfielder. I think this is the most flexible position in the game. Because someone in this position can do it all, both attacking and defending. Midfielders play in the middle of the field. And also, the midfielder is a very important position in a team. Because they can get the defender connected to the players before. This means that midfielders are the The playmakers in the game. In fact, in the actual game, the midfielder is divided into 4 positions; Central midfielder (CMF), defending midfielder (DMF), attacking midfielder (AMF) and lateral midfielder. CMF tends to play well by giving a pass to other teammates. Whereas DMF tends to help the defender more in defense. This means that this type of player is more defensive. So an AMF is the opposite of DMF. This means that this player is more offensive. And the last one is SMF, this player can both defend and attack from the side of the field. This type of player is generally referred to as a winger.

And the fourth position in the game of soccer is an attacking player or a striker. This player has the main task of making scores by pushing the ball into the goal post. In this position, the player must have good instinct and can make a good positioning. And the attacker should be able to maximize the chances of scoring a score, because in real play the attacker is always guarded by the opposing player.

Knowing the characteristics of football players, we can conclude that each position has its own duty and role in the practice of football. This means the striker who cannot bring the team to victory without the support of his teammate. The team also cannot win the match without the participation of the strikers. So we can say that all types of positions in the game are important and each of them cannot be autonomous, it means that the most important is teamwork. Without it, I think it’s difficult to achieve victory.
