Google has just announced that its Voice Assistant will now be able to work with third-party applications. Now, when the user says the OK Google command, he can ask the assistant to open certain applications installed on the smartphone and search for content.
For the moment, about thirty applications available on the Play Store will be able to work with Google Assistant, for the moment in English only. Other applications are also expected to become compatible with the voice assistant in the coming weeks. This makes it easy for users to start playing music, start a workout, post content on social media, order a meal, reimburse a friend, and more, all with a simple voice command.
And for the most common tasks, it will be possible to create voice shortcuts to perform a complex task faster.
