The Emotet Trojan is one of the most virulent malware around. Usually, it arrives through emails with trapped attachments. TGSoft has now launched an online service called “HaveIBeenEmotet”, which allows you to find out if you have been involved in an Emotet spam campaign.
All you have to do is enter your email address or the email domain name. The website then indicates whether they have been the target of a spamming or, conversely, an unintentional sender (which implies a compromise of the email). The service also allows you to know if the address has simply been spoofed to appear falsely in the sender header of a message.
TGSoft’s database currently has 2.1 million email addresses. They were collected in Emotet campaigns which took place during the last two months.
