The technical characteristics of the PS5 may be spectacular, but Sony’s new console does not seem to take full advantage of them for virtual reality. To overcome this lack and especially its incompatibility with the Playstation Camera, the Japanese company has decided to offer PSVR buyers an adapter to enjoy virtual reality.
Free for all PSVR owners
The offer is not limited to buyers of PS5, however, owning a PSVR and providing its serial number is a must to hope to receive the precious sesame. This is located on the back of the PSVR computing unit, the part that bridges the console to the headphones.
Also no need to wait for November 19, the console release date, the application form is available today.
However, shipping dates vary by country and if Japan will be served first, Europe will probably have to wait until mid-November to receive its adapter. For the rest, you just have to make your request on the Playstation website. Sony says the offer is limited to one adapter per household.
