The mental leap is about overcoming your fears and setbacks by reprogramming your subconscious for the competition.
Your true mental powers are deep within your subconscious
We have all been programmed by others or by ourselves unconsciously.
Then, after hearing something over and over again, our subconscious begins to accept it.
And never question it.
So now you will have to lose that fault self-concept that was created and sold to you, mentally jumping over it.
Decide that from today you are not going to let anyone’s opinion of you or your mental game determine your results in matches.
That’s what it really boils down to, the sad fact is that most tennis players never do that and they take what they’ve been taught as a fact, which is crazy, it takes courage to do it. this MENTAL LEAP.
This is why most tennis players never do.
Never forget that your friends and sometimes loved ones are going to try to hold you back, and this is just part of life, but stand up for yourself and believe that you were meant for more, because you were!
It’s time to take a mental leap !!
Ask yourself questions that make you think and don’t accept anything from others or from yourself, without questioning it !!
It starts with you as a player.
You have to create the mental image of the players you want to become in your mind and then start acting and playing as if you are already that player.
Then put yourself in tune with that image.
Be brave enough to act even when you are scared on the court, be confident in your mental game.
The mental leap is to have confidence in yourself when no one else does.
Very few players are able to do this and here is what happens,
They never reach their full potential as players.
My high school coach once told us this,
Tennis will then reveal and build character, but only if the player is willing to put in the mental effort, to make it happen.
This statement is so true !!
And that’s a very important thing to keep in mind when making that psychological leap with your tennis game.
Everything is mental in sport and in life and the more courageously you face your fears, the more powerful you will feel mentally.
Because when you face fears, you control them, and when you avoid them, they control YOU !!
Fear can and still holds millions of tennis players as I write this article, and that is why I am asking you here today to take the mental leap by jumping over your fears.
Good luck my friend!!
