Your short CV will be 3 pages long. The first page will be very similar to your Eurobasket profile and CV. At the top you need to put:
ALSO PUT ALL YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION AND YOUR AGENT’S CONTACT INFORMATION (if you have one)
Below you will type a paragraph, in the third person, about your playing style and your abilities. An example of third person is:
John Doe is a great athlete.
NOT: I am a great athlete.
This paragraph should only be three to four sentences long. It’s always good to relate something about your character and your greatest achievement. An example of a good paragraph is:
By being second in the country in 3 points (NCAA1) last season, John Doe showed his endless reach and proved himself to be one of the best shooters in the country. Although he is a prolific shooter, it is his overall ability to score basketball and defend the opponent’s best player that is so impressive. John is one of the most professional and hardworking prospects around. As a captain over the past two seasons at UCLA, he has shown he has all the leadership qualities you would want in a point guard or goaltender.
Then enter your statistics by year and by school. For example:
2000-2004: Paso Robles Highschool (lead team 23-3 as captain)
2005-2006: UCLA-6th man off the bench
2007-2008: UCLA- (NCAA) – Team Captain: 11ppg, 2.1rpg, 3pt 44%, FG33%
2008-2009: UCLA- (NCAA) – Team Captain: 15ppg, 3.7rpg, 3pt 48%, FG49%
2009-2010: UCLA- (NCAA) – Team Captain: 15.3ppg, 3.5rpg, 3pt50%, FG45%
Then you want to combine a list of all your rewards and achievements and place them at the bottom. Go ahead and be honest here, but fill it up with as much as you can think of. This means that if you don’t have one in middle school, use the ones in high school. If you have any in college, of course, add them. Highlight your taller one. If you have any recordings put them here as well.
On this page there should be an action shot of you and a head shot.
OK THE FIRST PAGE OF YOUR SHORT CV IS NOW ENDED ON THE 2ND PAGE …
