Sunday between 3 p.m. and 3 a.m., the “presence of PSG supporters or people posing as such and behaving as such” is prohibited around the Old Port, where many bars broadcast the matches, for safety reasons , told AFP the police headquarters, confirming information from the Parisian.

“Strong animosity of some Marseillais”

The decree, which will not be published until Friday, was taken after incidents that punctuated the broadcast of Tuesday night’s semi-final match.

The text of the prefect of police argues in particular “that there is a strong animosity on the part of some Marseillais, supporters or not, towards the PSG team, in contradiction with any sporting spirit”.

Tuesday evening, according to the police headquarters, gatherings of more than 250 people took place in Marseille, giving rise to two attacks on people wearing a Parisian club jersey, and “attempts at intimidation aimed at interrupting the retransmission of the match”.

In Paris, the final will be broadcast on giant screens at the Parc des Princes in front of 5,000 supporters, the maximum level imposed by the government. But there will be no “fan zones” in the French capital, AFP learned from a police source on Thursday.
