Snapchat isn’t just for sending ephemeral video messages. In recent months, the platform has added several strings to its bow by allowing its users to identify music, solve a mathematical problem, identify the breed of a dog or a plant by scanning these different elements directly from the application.
To offer these services in its app, Snapchat has teamed up with specialist partners: Dog Scanner, Plant Snap and SoundHound for music.
But Snapchat is not going to stop there and should include the ability to scan your food and wine bottles very soon. The social network has therefore offered the services of the French platform Yuka for food, and Vivino for wine.
Users will be able to check directly from the application whether the food they are eating is healthy, and view the price and ratings of the bottles of wine on their table.
