Excluded from the top 10 but not necessarily worse

To develop its top 10, the 01net.com laboratory takes many measurements. Performance, screen or camera… we note each point individually and have set up a weighting system to establish an average. The autonomy of smartphones is, for example, one of the most rewarded points in the scale set up. UA good smartphone should be able to be used without having to recharge it before the end of the day. This explains the absence of certain high-end, yet very powerful mobiles.

Some people will be surprised not to find in this classification the iPhone 11. Its absence is due to its too long recharge time. This point affects his rating of autonomy. As for the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, as good as it is materially, it is excluded because of its software weaknesses. Without Google services, it cannot run all applications.

Still on the market today, Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9 + as well as Huawei’s P20, P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro remain excellent smartphones and even a very good deal given their falling price. Due to the rating they were given at the time of their release, they could even appear in this top.

Finally, thanks to its excellent performances worthy of the greatest, the Oppo Find X2 NEO (almost) deserved its place, too, in this top of the most high-end smartphones. Its mid-range processor classifies it rather in the “Premium” category – it is even one of the best mid-range of the moment -. Its only flaw: its high price of 699 euros.
