A new model for the Wikipedia site. The online community encyclopedia announced on September 23 that it was launching a major overhaul of its “desktop” version.
The program is loaded : The developers plan to work on a new logo, an improved search results presentation, a hideaway sidebar, and a table of contents accessible anywhere in the article.
53 million articles for as many potential bugs
These new features will be developed and rolled out incrementally over the coming months. The idea is to spot any bugs that might arise on any of the 53 million articles published in 300 languages. It will also allow everyone to gradually get used to the changes.
This is the first time in ten years that Wikipedia has changed the design of its website. The foundation hopes to complete its work at the end of 2021, which will allow it to celebrate its twentieth anniversary with great pomp.
