Google has just announced that its Google Meet app, which enables video conferencing from a computer or smartphone, is now compatible with Chromecast devices.

In today’s healthcare environment where remote working and social interactions in the real world are limited, the use of video conferencing tools like Google Meet has exploded. The arrival of Meet on Chromecast will allow all users to make a call in Meet and enjoy it on a big TV screen.

To benefit from this, you must first install the latest update for Google’s web browser and install the latest version of the firmware for the Chromecast device.

This will allow the user to initiate a video call from Chrome on their computer, or from the Google Meet app on a smartphone, and “cast” the stream of that video call to the TV screen.
