Friday evening, after 11:59 p.m., travel in Île-de-France but also in Marseille, Montpellier, Lille, Saint-Étienne, Rouen, Toulouse and Grenoble will be limited. In an attempt to curb the spread of the coronavirus and limit the impact of the second wave on health services, the government has decided to implement, from this Saturday at 00:00, a curfew in areas where traffic virus is particularly active.
It will therefore be officially forbidden to leave your home between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. For the recalcitrant who would be caught outside their home without a valid reason, a fine of 135 euros is foreseen, while for the repeat offenders, the painful one will amount to 1500 euros. And if, however, the first two fines do not calm the ardor of the more reckless, they will incur six months in prison and a fine of 3,750 euros.
Prime Minister Jean Castex however indicated that exits remained authorized during the curfew for professional or health reasons, to help a loved one in a situation of dependency, for transport reasons (train or plane for example), to leave a pet.
A new travel certificate to complete
People meeting these exceptions must take with them an exceptional travel certificate, as during confinement. As for professionals, in addition to the travel certificate, they must carry proof from their employer or a professional card.
The certificate will be available for download this Friday and must be duly completed for authorized outings. People who do not have printers can write it by hand on plain paper based on the original document. Note that a mobile version of the travel certificate should also be made available.
